I am very excited to be back in the northeast for the change of seasons this year. I’m also excited to be sharing it for the first time with my husband Dwight. He has spent the majority of his life in southern California where the season changes are VERY subtle. I love how right after the Labor Day holiday you can just smell the change in the air here. Autumn will be setting in with all of it’s colors and crisp weather. Apple picking, pumpkin cutting, leaf pile kicking, breath taking scenes and snuggles with cocoa on a chilly day. mmmmm I’ve missed seasons. There was just something wrong with cooking Thanksgiving dinner with the windows open in shorts and tank tops. Even worse celebrating Christmas with the A/C on.
This year, I will be blessed to see our wonderful seasons through the eyes of someone who has never seen them before. What an amazing thrill. Dwight asks questions about things I never thought to ask. It just WAS that way. It rains a bit more here than in southern California. We will look out the window and Dwight will say, “well, it’s New Yorkin’ out there again.” hehehe
For the past 12 years he has had the pleasure of showing me the beauty of our western shores. Although very different, it was also breath-taking.
Where is all this going? I’m not really sure, except to say I am so happy and content at this point in my life. My Blessings overflow in abundance. I am surrounded by Love and Laughter, I am sharing my life with my Soul-mate, children, grandchildren and friends who are family. I am blessed with food and shelter, clothing and Spirit in my heart.
So I guess this is a moment of intense gratitude. Gratitude for all that helped me to travel to this place and time. Gratitude to the Father for all that is, and all that will be, knowing we are all one in Unconditional Love.
The Joy is in the Journey!
