Mondays can be hectic and overwhelming. Stress can make us feel frustrated and angry and jittery. Most of us know we should meditate, but never seem to find a half hour or hour to quietly do this. So how can we reap the benefits of meditation without blocking out an hour of our day?
To be effective, meditation does not have to be done an hour at a time. Studies have found that even taking five or ten minute meditation breaks can help calm your day and balance you.
Let’s try this… schedule two five minute meditation breaks during your workday, taking time to breathe slowly and deeply, calming everything from your mind, right there at your desk. Take one break in mid-morning, the other, mid-afternoon. Then, set aside ten minutes from your lunch hour and do the same.
If you follow this simple schedule, I guarantee you will be feeling the difference in only a matter of days. Let me know below what differences you’ve felt.
